3 tablespoons suet
2 tablespoons dried fruit
1 3/4 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
water to mix
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Add sufficient water to make ingredients into a firm paste.
- Roll out two thirds of the pastry into an oblong shape and use this to line a greased basin.
- Fill the centre with the brown sugar and butter.
- Cover with the rest of the pastry and cover the top with greaseproof paper.
- Steam for 2 hours.
- Serve with cream.
