1/4 pint cream
4 egg yolks
1 1/2 heaped tablespoons breadcrumbs
a little butter
2 egg whites
2 tablespoons caster/superfine sugar
a little rose water or orange flower water
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Stir in sugar, almonds and flavoring.
- Beat egg yolks and egg whites.
- Mix well with the other mixture and place in a pie dish.
- Put a little butter on the top and bake in a moderate oven 160oc/325of/gas mark3 for 30 minutes.

A fairly rich traditional pudding from East Anglia in England. This would have been eaten when eggs were plentiful.Ingredients
