1 pint of milk
3 tablespoons of flour
2 tablespoons butter
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Slowly add the rest of the milk, stirring all the time.
- Melt the butter and add this to the mixture.
- Next beat the eggs and add them with the salt to the mixture.
- Beat well.
- Pour into a well-greased pudding basin, cover with greaseproof paper and steam for 1 1/2 hours.
- Serve with jam, fruit or wine sauce.
