British Recipes > Mrs. Banyard’s Seagull Pudding

How to make Mrs. Banyard’s seagull pudding:
A recipe from Foulness in Essex which, of course, does not contain seagulls! We have no idea why they are so named but at any rate they taste delicious!

3 cooking apples
sugar to taste
4oz dumpling mix (see measure conversions for more information)

- Roll the dumpling mix into several small dumplings.
- Put the peeled, cored and chopped apples and sugar into a pan with a small amount of water and stew gently.
- Add the dumplings to the apple and continue cooking until the dumplings are cooked through.
