How to make Durham Stanhope firelighters:
A simple flapjack-style cake from the North East of England.



Ingredients

4 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons oats
8 tablespoons butter
(see measure conversions for more information)

Method

- Mix all ingredients together and put in a dripping tin.
- Bake for 30 minutes in a moderate oven 160oc/325of/gas mark3.
- When done, cut into squares.

The PROBLEM is that I have too much stuff in my kitchen. But, I now have gotten a small china hutch from my MIL (She moved).

I am not using it for china.

This morning I moved all of my spices to the top area: I had NO! idea I had that many spices! I lined them up in the front so I could see those tiny containers, and I have 4 rows of them. No more fishing in the cupboard for the tiny things!!!!!!!!!
