Starter - Cheese and Broccoli Tartlets
Main Course - Stir-fry Marinated Chicken with Cashew and Celery
Dessert - Winter Apricot Flan
approx. 2 lbs drained, tinned apricots
2 heaped tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons mixed spice
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Grease you chosen flan dish.
- Line it with the rolled out pastry.
- Prick the base with a fork.
- Arrange the apricots attractively on the pastry, cut sides down.
- Sprinkle the apricots with the sugar and the spice.
- Bake at 200 degrees c. for 25-30 minutes.
- Serve with whipped double or clotted cream.

How to make winter apricot flan:
Apricots make a fruity, attractive dessert in this sweet spicy flan. Tinned apricots work surprisingly well but if you have your own preserved apricots they would work very well in this recipe.
Ingredients
enough sweet crust pastry to line your favourite flan tinapprox. 2 lbs drained, tinned apricots
2 heaped tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons mixed spice
(see measure conversions for more information)
Method
- Roll out the pastry.- Grease you chosen flan dish.
- Line it with the rolled out pastry.
- Prick the base with a fork.
- Arrange the apricots attractively on the pastry, cut sides down.
