Whiskey sour cocktail is a well known tipple that dates from 1870 when it was first mentioned in a Wisconsin newspaper.

Ingredients

  • 2 jiggers whisky
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • ice
  • cherry and orange slices

Method

  1. Mix whisky, lemon juice and sugar together.
  2. Shake with ice.
  3. Serve with cherry and orange slices.
