good pinch of cream of tartar
egg white
1 dessertspoon lemon juice
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Add the lemon juice and enough egg white to make a pliable paste.
- Knead the paste thoroughly for 5 minutes then leave for an hour before using.
- This fondant can be flavoured with any essence you choose and formed into sweets.
- They can then be dipped in melted chocolate if you wish.

How to make unboiled fondant:
This is a very simple method of making soft sweets/candies. Once the fondant paste has been made it can be flavored, colored and decorated with just about anything you like. N.B. Be careful serving raw egg to vulnerable (i.e. the young and old).
Ingredients
6 cups icing/confectioner's sugargood pinch of cream of tartar
egg white
1 dessertspoon lemon juice

- Add the cream of tartar to the icing sugar.- Add the lemon juice and enough egg white to make a pliable paste.
- Knead the paste thoroughly for 5 minutes then leave for an hour before using.
- This fondant can be flavoured with any essence you choose and formed into sweets.
- They can then be dipped in melted chocolate if you wish.
