Smoked Haddock Terrine

Treacle Tart
A real old fashioned favourite. Easy to make and well received by everyone especially served with cream. Eats well hot or cold.
1lb shortcrust pastry
7-8 tablespoons golden syrup
3 tablespoons desiccated coconut
double cream to serve
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Use the pastry to line a greased 8 inch flan tin.
- Spoon treacle into the pastry case.
- Sprinkle coconut over the treacle.
- Bake at 180 degrees C. for about 30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.

Method
- Roll out the pastry to about 1/4 inch thickness.- Use the pastry to line a greased 8 inch flan tin.
- Spoon treacle into the pastry case.
- Sprinkle coconut over the treacle.
- Bake at 180 degrees C. for about 30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
