How to make toss-in cake:
An easy to follow recipe that makes a quick, fun cake.


2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 caster/superfine sugar
1 1/2 cups mixed fruit
2 eggs (not beaten)
8 tablespoons butter (melted)
1/4 teaspoon each of mixed spice, bicarbonate of soda, cinnamon
3/4 cup of milk
(see measure conversions for more information)


- "Toss" all the ingredients in order of list above into a bowl.
- Beat the ingredients together for 5 minutes.
- Turn cake mixture into a cake tin.
- Cook in oven at 160 degrees centigrade (see temperature conversions) for about an hour or until firm to touch.
