2 cups brown sugar
8 tablespoons black treacle
2 cups Brazil nuts, shelled and halved
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Add the sugar and treacle and boil to 143oC/290oF or until a drop cracks when dropped into cold water.
- Turn into a greased tin and allow to cool a little.
- When the toffee is beginning to set press the nuts into it and mark into squares with a knife.
- Snap the toffee into pieces when cold and store in an airtight container.
