1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons malt extract
7oz sultanas
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
2 tablespoons muscovado sugar
1/2 oz fresh yeast
7floz warm water
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Mix the yeast with the warm water.
- Add to the dry mixture.
- Mix to form a dough.
- Knead on a floured surface for 10 minutes.
- Shape into a loaf.
- Put into a well-greased large loaf tin.
- Leave to rise in a warm place.
- Bake at 190 degrees C. for 35 minutes.
- While the loaf is still warm glaze with running honey.

How to make sultana loaf:
Very much like a traditional currant bread this loaf can be eaten with butter or just on its own.
Ingredients
12oz strong white plain flour1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons malt extract
7oz sultanas
