2 eggs beaten
1 1/2 level tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 level tablespoons butter
milk
1 punnet strawberries hulled and cut in half
icing/confectioners sugar
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Stir in the sugar.
- Put the butter into the flour mix and cut it into very small pieces with a knife, mixing it in at the same time.
- Stir in the eggs.
- Bind the mixture to a dough with some milk.
- Roll out to the size of a round tin.
- Bake in a hot oven for 20 minutes.
- Cool and cut in half.
- Sandwich the two halves together with strawberries and icing sugar.
