Dessert Recipes > Pumpkin Pie
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 pint scalded milk
1 uncooked pastry case
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Add the spices, hot milk and the well beaten eggs.
- Allow to cool.
- Pour into the uncooked pastry case and bake in a moderate oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
- Serve with clotted cream.

How to make pumpkin pie:
A favorite American recipe.
Ingredients
2 cups of steamed pumpkin flesh1 cup of sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Method
- Rub the pumpkin flesh through a sieve and add the sugar to it.- Add the spices, hot milk and the well beaten eggs.
- Allow to cool.
- Pour into the uncooked pastry case and bake in a moderate oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
- Serve with clotted cream.
