1 large onion, peeled and chopped finely
1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon chilli powder
6 ripe tomatoes, skinned and finely chopped
2lb prawns, shelled or defrosted if frozen
juice half lemon
4 tablespoons crème frâiche (see measure conversions for more information)
- Add the four spices and continue frying for about 3 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes and cook for 15 minutes.
- Gently stir in the prawns, lower the heat and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Stir in the crème frâiche and lemon juice.
- Remove from heat and serve.

How to make prawn curry:
Many people's favourite type of curry, prawns add a subtle meaty flavour to this spicy dish.
Ingredients

- Fry the onion and garlic in the oil in a large frying pan until very lightly browned.- Add the four spices and continue frying for about 3 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes and cook for 15 minutes.

- Stir in the crème frâiche and lemon juice.
- Remove from heat and serve.
