How to make potato scones:
A deliciously different scone to enjoy with unsalted butter and a selection of cheeses.


2 1/4 cups flour
6 tablespoons cold mashed potatoes
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons butter
milk to mix
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Rub the butter into the flour.
- Add the potatoes and salt.
- Mix to a soft dough with some milk.
- Roll out on a floured surface to about 1/2" thickness.
- Cut into rounds.
- Bake in a very hot oven (see temperature conversions) for 20-30 minutes.
- To serve, cut in half and butter.
