How to make pork with mushrooms:
A tasty pork and mushroom stew to try.


2lb pork fillet, cut into cubes
3 tablespoons flour, seasoned with salt and pepper
1 large onion, peeled and sliced
6 tablespoons butter
1 lb button mushrooms, wiped and sliced
1 11/2 pints chicken stock
4 fluid oz dried sherry
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Coat the pork in the seasoned flour.
- Brown the meat and onions in the butter.
- Add the mushrooms and any remaining seasoned flour.
- Cook gently for 1 minute.
- Gradually stir in the sherry and stock.
- Bring to the boil.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 40 minutes or until the meat is tender.
