How to make oatmeal biscuits:
A simple but tasty biscuit recipe to try.


3oz flour
3oz butter
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4oz oatmeal
a little beaten egg
1 teaspoon sugar

- Rub the butter into the flour.
- Add the oatmeal, baking powder and salt.
- Mix to a stiff paste with beaten egg and a little water.
- Place on a floured surface.
- Roll out fairly thinly.
- Prick all over with a fork.
- Cut into desired shapes.
- Bake at 380 degrees F. for about 20 minutes.
