3 parsnips peeled and sliced
6 carrots peeled and sliced
3 turnips peeled and sliced
4 onions peeled and sliced
6 potatoes peeled and sliced
1 medium cabbage peeled and sliced
parsley chopped
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Bring to the boil and then simmer for 3 hours.
- Add the vegetables except the cabbage.
- Cook for 45 minutes.
- Add the cabbage and parsley.
- Cook for a further 15 minutes.
- Serve with cooked beetroot.
