How to make mushroom sauce:
This is a plain white sauce flavored with mushrooms. It can be served on toast as a supper dish, with pasta or as a topping in a baked potato.


1/2 pint white sauce
1 cup finely chopped button mushrooms
3 tablespoons butter
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Make up the white sauce.
- Remove from the heat.
- Fry the mushrooms in the butter until soft.
- Drain off any liquid and add the mushrooms to the sauce.
