How to make maple glazed nuts:
Nuts glazed in a light toffee syrup.


4 fluid oz maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter
pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
walnut halves as required
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Place the syrup, cinnamon, butter and salt in a saucepan.
- Stir over a medium heat until the mixture is lightly browned and syrupy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract then add the nuts and turn them over until evenly covered with glaze.
- Spread on greaseproof paper to cool.
