1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons any dried fruit
2 tablespoons malt extract
1 tablespoon warmed golden syrup
1/4 pint milk
1/4 pint water
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Remove from the heat.
- Sieve the flour and salt into a large basin and stir in the fruit and sugar.
- Add the liquid and beat well.
- Put the mixture into a greased 2lb loaf tin and bake at 150 degrees Centigrade (see temperature conversions) for 1 hour.

How to make malt loaf:

- Add the liquid and beat well.
- Put the mixture into a greased 2lb loaf tin and bake at 150 degrees Centigrade (see temperature conversions) for 1 hour.
