4 medium tomatoes, chopped
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup lentils
1/2 pint tomato juice
1 1/2 pints vegetable stock
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon yeast extract
seasoning to taste

- Add the remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add seasoning to taste.

A filling lunchtime soup which is almost a meal in itself.Ingredients
1 small onion, peeled and chopped4 medium tomatoes, chopped

Method
- Heat the oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion until transparent.- Add the remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add seasoning to taste.
