6 rashers streaky bacon, rinds cut off and rashers cut into strips
2oz white breadcrumbs, mixed with 3oz grated cheddar cheese
4oz mushrooms, sliced
salt
freshly ground pepper
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Drain.
- Place in an ovenproof dish.
- Cook the bacon in a frying pan until crisp, adding no extra fat.
- Cook the mushrooms in the same pan in the fat from the bacon.
- Remove from the heat.
- Stir in half the cheese and breadcrumb mixture.
- Season well.
- Spoon over the leeks in the ovenproof dish.
- Sprinkle the rest of the cheese and breadcrumb mixture on top.
- Cook at 200 degrees C for about 15 minutes or until browned on top.

How to make leek bake:

Ingredients

- Place in an ovenproof dish.

- Stir in half the cheese and breadcrumb mixture.
- Season well.
