How to make Ham and Cheese Pasta Bake:
An easy and tasty pasta bake recipe. Feel free to use your favourite pasta shapes in this recipe such as fusill, macaroni or penne. This dish should serve 3-4 people depending on portion size. To make the meal more luxurious you could make a cheese sauce rather than a white sauce and grate some fresh parmesan cheese over the pasta bake just before serving.

4oz uncooked pasta, cooked and drained
1oz butter
3 large eggs, hard boiled, cooled and sliced
3oz lean ham, chopped
3oz mature cheddar cheese, grated
1 tablespoon cornflour
1/2 pint milk
salt and pepper
(see measure conversions for more information)

- Blend the cornflour with a little of the milk in a basin.
- Bring the rest of the milk almost to the boil in a saucepan.
- Pour the hot milk onto the cornflour mixture, stirring at the same time.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and bring back to the boil, stirring all the time, until the mixture thickens to become white sauce.
- Remove from the heat.
- Add the butter.
- Stir in the pasta.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Grease an oven-proof dish.
- Layer the eggs, ham and pasta mixture into the dish.
