2lb finely minced lamb
2 medium onions, peeled and finely chopped
8oz fresh breadcrumbs
2 teaspoons finely chopped mint
2 teaspoon finely chopped parsley
2 teaspoons salt
freshly ground black pepper
juice 1 lemon
2 tablespoons ouzo
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons flour
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Remove from heat.
- Remove onion from pan and allow to cool.
- Combine the onion with all the other ingredients except the flour in a bowl.
- Mix until really smooth.
- Form into egg sized balls and roll in the flour.
- Fry until golden in olive oil until golden.
