2 tablespoons cooking oil
2 tablespoons flour
freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
pinch grated nutmeg
1 clove garlic
pinch mixed herbs
1 1/2 cups skinned and sliced tomatoes
1 1/4 cups bouillon
1/3 cup unflavored yogurt
chopped fresh parsley to garnish
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Add the meat and stir over a moderate heat until lightly browned on all sides.
- Stir in the flour and black pepper.
- Add the onion, paprika, nutmeg, herbs, garlic and tomatoes.
- Add the bouillon and bring to the boil.
- Pour the stew into a casserole dish.
- Cover and place in oven at 160 degrees centigrade (see temperature conversions) for 2 hours.
- Just before serving, stir in the yogurt and sprinkle with parsley.
