How to make French dressing:
Classic French dressing also know as vinaigrette sauce. Serve with a simple green salad or with avocado as a starter.


3 tablespoons white vinegar
pinch of mustard powder
pinch caster/superfine sugar
salt and pepper
6 tablespoons olive oil
1 crushed clove garlic if desired
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Put all the ingredients except the oil into a bowl.
- Whisk until well blended and then gradually whisk in the olive oil.
- Use as soon as possible and re-whisk just before serving.
