4 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, skinned and crushed
1 cup mushrooms
large can chopped tomatoes, discard half of the juice
mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
baked ham, cut into strips
anchovy fillets, drained
black olives, halved and stoned
chopped, fresh oregano
salt and pepper to taste
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Fry the garlic and mushrooms in 2 tablespoons of the olive oil until soft.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle approx. 12 inches x 10 inches.
- Make the edges thicker than the centre.
- Mash the tomatoes and spread them over the dough, right up to the edges.
- Sprinkle a little salt and pepper onto the tomatoes.
- Arrange slices of mozzarella over the tomatoes then sprinkle the strips of ham on top.
- Top with anchovies and olives.
- Mix the oregano and remaining oil with salt and pepper to taste. - Drizzle this over the pizza.
- Leave the pizza to prove in a arm place for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 200 degrees centigrade (see temperature conversions) for 25 minutes until the dough is risen and the cheese melted.
