How to make dill vinegar:
A classic herb vinegar that can be used for salads and sauces. This process can be used for other herbs although in most cases it is the herb leaf that is used rather than the seeds.
Ingredients
1 pint white wine vinegar2 tablespoons of dill seed
(see measure conversions for more information)
Method
- Put the vinegar and the dill seeds into a suitable bottle.- Cork tightly and stand in a cool, dark place for three weeks.
- Before using strain the vinegar into a clean bottle.
