How to make curry sauce:
A nice and spicy sauce that can be used for meat etc. and is also a tasty dip for fries.


1 onion, peeled and sliced
1 tomato, skinned and chopped finely
1 heaped tablespoon flour
1/2 pint vegetable stock
salt and pepper
1 carrot, peeled and sliced
1 cooking apple
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon lemon juice
lard or olive oil
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Gently fry the sliced onion and carrot in the olive oil (or lard).
- Stir in the flour and curry powder.
- Add the lemon juice and cook, stirring all the time for a few minutes.
- Slowly add the stock and then the sliced tomato and the peeled, cored and chopped apple.
- Season.
- Bring to the boil and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Strain and use.
