Starter - Garlic Mushroom Patties
Main Course - Curried Mince and Apple Bake
Dessert - Blackberry Upside-down Pudding
1/2 pint milk
1 1/2 oz butter
2 onions, finely chopped
1 cooking apple, cored and chopped
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 1/2 lb lean minced beef
2 tablespoons raisins
1oz flaked almonds
1 tablespoon lemon juice
salt and pepper
2 bay leaves
3 eggs
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Fry the onions in the butter until they are soft.
- Add the apple and curry powder.
- Cook for 2 minutes.
- Put the onion mixture into a bowl.
-Add the meat, almonds, raisins, lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix very well.
- Squeeze the bread, reserving the milk. - Stir the bread into the meat mixture.
- Place the bay leaves on the bottom of a 2 pint pie dish.
- Fill with the meat mixture, and then cover with foil.
- Bake in a preheated oven 180 degrees C. for 35 minutes. - Stir the meat mixture.
- Whisk the eggs and the milk.
- Pour over the meat mixture.
- Return the dish to the oven and cook for 35 minutes.
- The topping should be set and slightly browned.

How to make curried mince and apple bake:
You may be lucky enough to have an apple tree in your garden or nearby. This is an unusual recipe, with a combination of apples and mince and if you have a lot of apples spare this recipe will help use them up.
Ingredients
2 slices of bread, crusts removed1/2 pint milk
1 1/2 oz butter
2 onions, finely chopped
1 cooking apple, cored and chopped
1 tablespoon curry powder

1 tablespoon lemon juice
salt and pepper
