3/4 tablespoon curry powder
1 apple de-cored and chopped
1/2 cup rice
1 tablespoon butter
1 onion finely chopped
1/4 pint milk
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 pint water or fish stock
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Cut the fish into neat pieces.
- Melt the butter in a pan.
- Add finely chopped onion and cook for a few minutes without browning.
- Add the curry powder and flour and stir for 5 minutes but do not allow the flour to brown.
- Add the stock and milk gradually.
- Stir until boiling.
- Add the chopped apple and the pieces of fish.
- Season well.
- Simmer very gently until the fish is cooked (approx 20 - 30 minutes).
- Serve with the rice.

fish as required (any fish such as salmon, hake haddock, halibut, fresh herrings, lobster, crab, prawns or oysters can be curried)3/4 tablespoon curry powder

Method
- If required clean and gut the fish, skin it and remove any bones.- Cut the fish into neat pieces.
- Melt the butter in a pan.
- Add finely chopped onion and cook for a few minutes without browning.
- Add the curry powder and flour and stir for 5 minutes but do not allow the flour to brown.
- Add the stock and milk gradually.
- Stir until boiling.
- Add the chopped apple and the pieces of fish.
- Season well.
- Simmer very gently until the fish is cooked (approx 20 - 30 minutes).
- Serve with the rice.
