How to make coffee mallow:
A fun and slightly unusual dessert to try making. The result is a bit like a coffee mousse.


1lb marshmallows
1/2 pint strong black coffee
1/2 pint double/heavy cream whipped
2oz chopped walnuts
whipped cream for decorating
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Put the marshmallows and coffee into a basin.
- Place over a pan of hot water over a low heat and stir until the marshmallows have dissolved.
- Remove from the heat and allow to cool.
- Fold the cream into the marshmallow mixture.
- Chill for 24 hours (stir a few times during the chilling to prevent the mixture from separating).
- Decorate with whipped cream and nuts.
