6oz butter
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon coffee essence

- Add the other half of the icing sugar, the milk and the coffee essence and beat until as light and fluffy.
- Mix in the chopped nuts.
- Use to fill and cover the cake.

Deliciously nutty coffee flavoured icing. Primarily used in making coffee cakes, such as London Coffee House Cake.Ingredients
4oz shelled walnuts, chopped finely1lb icing/confectioner's sugar sieved
6oz butter
2 tablespoons milk

Method
- Cream the butter with half of the icing sugar until light and fluffy.- Add the other half of the icing sugar, the milk and the coffee essence and beat until as light and fluffy.
- Mix in the chopped nuts.
- Use to fill and cover the cake.
