3oz caster/superfine sugar
2 tablespoonfuls of coffee essence
5oz plain/all purpose flour
1 1/2 oz finely chopped almonds
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Beat in the coffee essence.
- Mix in the flour to make smooth dough.
- Divide the mixture into 15 small pieces and shape into balls.
- Roll in chopped almonds and put on a greased baking sheet well apart.
- Flatten slightly with a palette knife.
- Bake at 190 degrees C. for 25 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack.
