8oz pork fillet (tenderloin), sliced finely
half Chinese cabbage
4oz green beans, trimmed and sliced
2 onions, peeled and sliced
3 sticks/ribs celery
8 fluid oz chicken stock
2 teaspoons cornflour/cornstarch mixed with a little of the stock to a smooth paste
1 tablespoon soy sauce
8oz cooked chicken breast meat
8oz prawns, thawed frozen or peeled fresh
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Cook the pork in the oil for about 5 minutes.
- Add all the vegetables except bamboo shoots.
- Mix well and continue cooking for a few minutes.
- Add cornflour to the chicken stock.
- Add to wok with soy sauce.
- Bring to the boil and cook stirring until thickened.
- Add the chicken, prawns and bamboo shoots.
- Cook until heated through.
- Serve.

How to make chop suey:
Literally means "bits and pieces" and is ideal for using up leftovers.
Ingredients
