How to make chocolate shortbread:
A chocolate flavoured shortbread with almonds on top.


8oz butter
3oz icing/confectioner's sugar
9oz plain/all purpose flour
1oz cocoa
2oz flaked almonds
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Cream the butter and sugar together.
- Mix in the flour and cocoa.
- Spoon the mixture into a greased cake tin and press down with the back of a spoon.
- Sprinkle the almonds evenly on top and press lightly into the dough.
- Bake at 170 degrees C. for 40 minutes.
- Allow to cool in the tin and cut into fingers.
