How to make chocolate fudge cake:
A very easy cake to make. This chocolate fudge cake is as chocolatey and moist as any chocoholic could wish for!


Chocolate Fudge Cake
6oz plain flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspooon bicarbonate of soda
5oz light brown soft sugar
2 tablespoons golden syrup
1/4 pint sunflower oil
3oz natural yogurt
2 eggs, beaten
2oz plain chocolate, grated

for the frosting:

6oz plain chocolate, melted
6oz unsalted butter
6oz icing/confectioners’ sugar

- Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and sugar into a large bowl.
- Add all the other ingredients and beat well for about 2 minutes.
- Divide the mixture between two greased 8 1/2 inch sandwich tins.
- Bake at 170 degrees C. for 30 minutes or until well risen and firm to the touch.
- Turn out onto a wire rack until cool.
- To make icing put all the ingredients into a bowl and beat until smooth.
- Use to fill and top the cake.
