How to make chocolate fruit cake:
An unusual cake that combines two favourite cake flavours; chocolate and fruit!


6oz flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
4oz butter
4oz granulated sugar
2oz sultanas
2oz raisins
2 eggs
1 tablespoon milk
1oz cocoa

- Sift together the flour, cocoa and baking powder.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until soft.
- Add one egg and beat 4 minutes.
- Add another egg and beat for another 4 minutes.
- Beat in the flour, fruit and milk gradually.
- Spoon into a well-greased cake tin.
- Cook for about 1 hour at 180 degrees Celsius or until the cake is firm to touch.
