How to make cheese sauce:
An extremely versatile sauce which can be used with virtually any vegetable, with any pasta (especially macaroni) or even on its own on toast for a quick supper dish.


1/2 pint white sauce
a little mustard
a little butter
2 tablespoons grated cheese (a strong Cheddar)
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Make the white sauce and add the rest of the ingredients.
- Stir off the heat until the cheese has dissolved.
- Add desired vegetable or pasta (which must be already cooked) and mix well.
- If you like you can grate in a little more cheese at this stage.
