How to make Burritos:
Burritos are tasty meat filled tortilla wraps. A great portable snack or meal. Serves 4.


8oz cubed, lean pork
1lb cubed lean braising steak
4oz onions skinned and chopped
1 clove garlic, peeled and finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chili powder
12 fluid oz water
large can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1oz grated cheddar cheese
4 tortillas
oil for frying
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Brown the beef and pork in the oil.
- Add the onion and garlic.
- Add the salt and chili powder.
- Add the water.
- Bring to the boil.
- Reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer for 2 hours or until the meat is so tender that it falls apart.
- Remove from the heat.
- Pull the meat apart with 2 forks so that it is flaked.
- Cook for a little longer with no lid until any liquid is thickened.
- Heat the beans in a saucepan.
- Add the cheese.
- Spread 2 tablespoon of cheese and bean mix and 2 tablespoon of the meat on each tortilla.
- Fold into shape.
