How to make bannocks:
Traditional Scottish buns.


2 breakfast cups of flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 walnut-sized piece of butter
milk to mix
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Rub the butter into the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Mix to a stiff dough with some milk.
- Form into one large round or several small ones and bake on a greased tin in a hot oven.
- Bake until risen and golden brown.
- Dried fruit and sugar can be added before cooking if liked.
