How to make apple cake 2:
A recipe for the classic favorite cake.


6 tablespoons butter
2 cups cake flour
3/4 cup superfine sugar
2 eggs beaten with 2 tablespoons milk
zest of 1 orange
1 tablespoon chopped peel
4 large cooking apples, peeled and diced
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Stir apples in the flour.
- Beat sugar and butter.
- Add the eggs, milk, orange zest and mixed peel to the butter mix.
- Fold in the flour and apples with a metal spoon.
- Put into a 7" greased tin.
- Put the tin into the oven at 180 degrees centigrade (see temperature conversions) for about 1 1/2 hours.
