How to make Anzacs:
Fruity oat biscuits.


5oz butter
1 tablespoon golden syrup
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
2 tablespoons boiling water
4oz plain/all purpose flour
4oz rolled oats
4oz sugar
4oz raisins

- Melt the butter and syrup together in a pan over a low heat.
- Dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in the boiling water and add to the mixture in the pan.
- Mix together the flour, oats, sugar and raisins.
- Pour the butter and syrup mixture over the flour, oat sugar and raisins.
- Mix well.
- Place teaspoonfuls of the mixture on a greased baking tray, leaving room for the biscuits to spread.
- Bake at 150 degrees C. for about 15 minutes.
- Leave on the baking tray for 5 minutes.
- Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
