4 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons flaked almonds
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Stir in the honey and almonds and cook over a medium heat, stirring continuously, for 7 minutes until the mixture is golden brown.
- Spread the mixture in a greased 8 inch square tin and cut into squares at once with sharp greased knife.
- Leave to cool, chill in the fridge then store in a covered container.

This homemade candy is almost like Halva, which is an almond based European sweetmeat. Ideally this should be served with a cup of coffee.
