handful of raisins

- Add the salt and the raisins.
- Mix to a stiff dough with a little cold water.
- Roll into an oval shape and mark a criss-cross on it with a knife.
- Bake for half an hour in a moderate oven.

How to make Fuggan:
Very similar to Figgie Hobbin but slightly less rich due to the lack of suet. This is basically a sweetened pastry.Ingredients
2 cups plain flour2 tablespoons lard

So glad to find the recipe for fuggan. My father's family was Cornish and the same recipe was called Heavy oggan. Have never seen anything quite like it before. Thank you.
