How to make dippy:

At first sight this might seem like a strange recipe but if you think about it, it is no different from a restaurant style fish meal served in a cream sauce.


6 fresh pilchards
about 5 medium potatoes
single cream
(see measure conversions for more information)


- Clean the fish and peel and chop the potatoes.
- Simmer them together in the cream until the potatoes are soft.
