Mulled Wine Recipe
By James Maddock
Updated 12/08/2011
Mulled wine is one of my favourite Christmas treats - there's nothing quite like its warming spiciness. Christmas spirit in a glass! In the past I have experimented with different spices and quantities and the recipe below is just about perfect for my taste. The best piece of advice I can give is to use a nice wine! If the wine is horrible then nothing else will salvage the mulled wine! If you want to make an alcohol-free version of mulled wine you can replace the wine with a blackcurrant cordial, grape juice or any other fruit juice (although I've not tried this myself).
