3 tablespoons sugar
pinch of cinnamon
pinch of powdered ginger
pinch of powdered cloves
1 pint red wine
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Boil to a syrup.
- Add this to the wine and heat to just below boiling, stirring all the time.
- Serve hot with a twist of orange peel (white pith removed) in each glass.
