Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (2oz) butter
  • 3 cups (3/4 lb) plain/all purpose flour
  • 3 cups (1 1/2 lbs) caster/superfine sugar
  • 1/4 pint cream
  • pinch of salt

Method

  1. Rub the butter into the flour and salt.
  2. Mix in the sugar and add the cream to make a dough.
